The Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011 and paid by means of a specific grant based on students registered for Free School Meals (FSM), children who are looked after (CLA) and those children whose parents are serving in the Armed Forces. This service Premium is designed to address the emotional and social well-being of these students. The research carried out on how to narrow the gap with students eligible for the Pupil Premium, specifically the Sutton Report, will continue to act as guidance for the academy in the most effective strategies to use and we will endeavour to use those strategies that are deemed to have the greatest impact on learning and progress.
