Applications Process

Kirklees Local Authority manages the co-ordinated admissions process for the academy and all secondary schools.

Parents wishing to apply for a place at Castle Hall Academy for their child must apply online via kirklees admissions for secondary schools and click 'Apply online'. You will be taken to the Kirklees Parent Portal. If it is your first visit, click on 'create an account'. Enter your details and follow the link to verify your account. Login and add your child's details and preferred schools. Check and submit your application.

In order to be considered for a place at Castle Hall Academy, parents MUST name the academy as one of their preferences.

Kirklees Local Authority compiles lists of all parents who have recorded Castle Hall Academy as one of the three preferences.

Kirklees Local Authority sends a list of all applicants to the academy and the Governing Body puts the students in priority order in accordance with the oversubscription criteria listed below.

Kirklees Local Authority sends out offers of places on behalf of the Governing Body. Offers of a school place are sent by email on National Offer Day to the email address you have used. You will also be able to see your offer of a school place by logging into your Kirklees Parent Portal account.
